How the rebate flows

No pre-approval is stated. The work is verifying the utility boundary and AHRI ratings before the quote becomes a rebate promise.

STEP 1

Check the electric utility

The installation address must receive residential electric service from Lodi Electric Utility. A Lodi ZIP code by itself is not enough.

STEP 2

Check the AHRI match

Use the complete matched system. Ducted equipment has three required ratings; ductless has two plus an existing-heating precondition.

STEP 3

Install and document

Record both model numbers and the serial number. The final invoice needs the customer, contractor, address, date, job description, and cost.

STEP 4

Submit and follow through

Customer or contractor submits the AHRI certificate and final invoice within six months. Allow 8–10 weeks if all qualifications are met.

Does the job qualify?

The territory

Residential electric service must be from Lodi Electric Utility. Verify the utility bill or authoritative service boundary; the city name and ZIP are not sufficient.

The home

Existing homes only. New construction and installations required by Title 24 codes or standards are not eligible.

The equipment

A new AHRI-certified air-source heat pump, including qualifying ductless mini- and multi-splits. The complete matched system must meet every applicable rating.

The claim

AHRI certificate plus final invoice. Submit within six months of purchase or installation. Customer or contractor may submit the online application.

Qualifying matched-system ratings

Ducted split or unitary/package

At least 15.2 SEER2, 12.2 EER2, and 7.7 HSPF2. All three must pass.

Ductless mini- or multi-split

At least 15.2 SEER2 and 7.8 HSPF2. Existing heat must be zonal electric resistance or a standard ductless heat pump.

Funding is limited. Verify the job before you promise the money.

Lodi may change or discontinue the offer. The $1,600 maximum assumes eight qualifying AHRI tons and enough eligible project cost; it is not an approval, reservation, or guaranteed payment.
